Whereever did you get the impression that Windows Update would not automatically reboot a system? I guess you can leave Windows Firewall Disabled, althogh Norton does not disable it after installation. What I did was change that time to something less disruptive, but you have the option of changing frequency, etc. but I have the issue where even though I have Windows update turned off, it turns it self on and updates everything. At first I forgot to turn off hibernation in power management, when the PC was left alone for some time it turned off but it could never be waken up again
