My card was sort of upper mid range about 3 1/2 years ago! And, I suppose, the GPU's are running hotter because they are trying to keep up. I don't mind mucking about in there. I take my iMac into the shop, have it opened up and the entire cavity and CD/DVD drive is all vacuumed out.
